Anne Louise Schotel is a teacher and researcher in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. Her work focuses on the political representation and recognition of gender and sexuality. She is affiliated with the Amsterdam Centre for Gender and Sexuality Studies (ARC-GS).
During her project, Anne Louise was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne, Germany, and at the LGBTQ Rights and Representation Initiative at the University of North-Carolina (UNC) in Chapel Hill in the United States.
Anne Louise holds a Research Master in Social Sciences from Utrecht University and a double Bachelor in Political Science in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam.
